  1. a superb player, before his time the tune played at 11mins 30 seconds is out standing a great pity that this old style ha been largly replaced by the new hairy fairy sound as is mostly played today

  4. Can you identify the three musicians in the top photo? Obviously the one on the right is George Ross. What about the fiddler & the other box player? Happy New Year,

  5. I think the man on the left is Dermot Whelan, not sure though, I only knew him in his later days. The fiddle player is familiar but I can't put a name to him. George Ross was my uncle and I remember some of the musicians he played with .

I am a granddaughter of his and I’m trying to buy one of his records for my dad (Ollie) but unfortunately I haven’t been that lucky in my search.
