Well known Wexford singer,Joe Monaghan, signed off on us over Christmas and moved on to join the Heavenly choir where I am sure he will be in the front row.He will be missed by all down here. Rest in peace Joe and thanks for all the memories.

Recorded in Broader's Pub in Wexford Town Ireland in Dec' 1992. The Pub is long gone and so to are some of the people featured in this video. The musicians and singers featured are Ann McCleane and Tommy Hore on fiddles - John Byrne, Richie Mahoney and Carl Dunphy on whistles/flutes - Tom Casey and Tommy Nolan on Banjos - Kevin McDermott on three row accordion and Bro Bony on Piccolo. The singers are Nicky Lacey, and the Nolan brothers.

"THE EMERALDS" A well known folk group from New Ross during the 60's & 70's
comprised of John Aspel, Paddy Ryan(R.I.P) & Michael Murray(R.I.P).They played all over Ireland,England & U.S and played in The White House while J.F. Kennedy was president.They made an LP which is now out of print and is a collectors item fetching big money on ebay.I got an old copy recently from John Aspel and will put it up here in the near future if John gives me permission.

Joe from Cloughbawn, Co. Wexford and later Co. Kildare made this recording at Buncranna fleadh cheoil 1975 for an LP Record called "Fleadh Cheoil '75" which has become a collectors item.
