The Herdsmen Folk Group -1967

A group that played around the south Leinster region during the ballad and folk boom years of the 60's and early 70's. Members were Martin Codd (R.I.P) John Codd, Martin (Slim ) Codd jnr., Peter Farrell (R.I.P ) and Paddy Joyce. Heard here rehearsing in the kitchen of a house near Castleboro on an old Grundig reel to reel recorder--accoustics bad -sound bad but very nostalgic.

Traditional music from Co. Wexford in the 60's

Co.Wexford musicians such as George Ross, Tom Byrne, Art Sinnott and the Ferns Ceili band along with many others.
